Brand DNA

I recently spoke at a local event for entrepreneurs and business professionals. During my talk I encouraged the audience to look closely at who they are, what their passions are and why they want to do business. This process of self-reflection will truly help us all discover our true brand at the very core of our being. This is what brand is all about... it's the heart beat of why we do what we do. I was encouraged to see that this resonated with the audience. Too often as business leaders we quickly jump into the how and the what of our business. We start marketing and promoting our products or services without having a strong foundation of why we do it and who we do it for. The 'why' and the 'who' of our businesses have to be the driving factors of our brand and we need to stay true to the essence of our brand DNA.

1) What is my true purpose? What is my why?

2) Who am I serving and what are their pain points or needs?

3) What solution do I offer them?

4) What do I want to be known for?
